Arduino
I’ve started to play around with the Arduino lately courtesy of a friend who bought one a while back but never got round to using it. So far we’re working on configuring the Arduino as a remote actuator, accessible via WiFi.
Our first idea (chosen for its simplicity) is to have the Arduino activate a coffee machine wirelessly when it receives the appropriate signal from the software we’ve built on the PC.
- Myself and a friend starting to get to grips with an unknown OLED matrix (i.e. no schematic and 24-pins!)
I’ve gone on to use the Arduino in my undergraduate dissertation, and it’ll also be used in my MSc dissertation.
